We’re looking for an experienced Road Movements Officer to perform training and assessment on commercial and Defence specific vehicles

Location:

  • RAAF Base Williamtown
  • RAAF Base Richmond

This role is located on base, and ADF veterans are encouraged to apply as this role has significant interface with RAAF personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal teams and external service providers to ensure smooth, compliant fleet operations
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and provide appropriate documentation.
  • Oversee and manage permit applications and associated requirements.
  • Lead and support drivers and command operational staff
  • Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR regulations and relevant state transport regulations
  • Monitor and schedule vehicle maintenance and safety requirements
  • Provide SME to resolve operational challenges promptly and effectively
  • Maintain accurate records and operational reporting

About You:

  • Born organiser with an eye for detail (you spot what others miss)
  • Previous experience in transport supervision or similar role
  • Experience managing vehicle condition and utilisation to keep fleets running efficiently
  • A solid understanding of vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules, and repair coordination
  • Great communicator – you love talking to people and getting things done
  • Calm, cool, and collected – even when the pace picks up
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with transport management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Team player with a positive, proactive mindset
  • Be an Australian citizen and hold a current driver’s licence.
