Our products and services include aluminium-framed windows and doors, security doors and screens, stainless steel mesh security products, shower screens, bathroom glass and office glass partitions.
Due to business growth, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Glazier to join our team in Slacks Creek, Queensland.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Measuring, marking, cutting, preparing and installing glass for residential and commercial applications.
- Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, measurements and installation requirements.
- Installing glass panels into aluminium window and door frames, shower screens, glass partitions and other glazing systems.
- Selecting and using appropriate glazing materials, seals, gaskets, silicone and fixing systems.
- Removing and replacing damaged or defective glass and glazing components.
- Measuring and checking glass panels to ensure correct fit, alignment and installation quality.
- Preparing, assembling and fitting aluminium frames and associated glazing components.
- Operating relevant hand tools, power tools and glazing equipment safely.
- Performing both workshop-based glazing and on-site installation work.
- Ensuring all work meets applicable Australian Standards, workplace safety requirements and company quality standards.
- Working independently and collaboratively to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.
Skills and Experience
Applicants should process:
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in glass installation, glazing and aluminium window and door systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, take accurate measurements and complete installations.
- Experience using glazing tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
- Knowledge of safe glass handling, manual handling and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Good attention to detail, problem-solving skills and workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A current driver's licence is desirable.
