About the Opportunity

Are you a curious and commercially minded accountant who wants to do more than just report the numbers?

As our Financial Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in helping shape the financial performance of our Tools and Hardware business. Sitting at the heart of the finance function, you'll partner with stakeholders across the business to provide meaningful insights, strengthen financial controls, and drive smarter decision-making.

This is an opportunity to step beyond traditional financial accounting. You'll combine technical expertise with business partnering, helping leaders understand the story behind the numbers while identifying opportunities to improve processes, performance and outcomes.

Working within a collaborative and high-performing team, you'll have exposure to a broad range of finance activities, from month-end reporting and people cost analysis to continuous improvement initiatives and strategic projects. If you enjoy solving problems, influencing decisions, and making a tangible impact in a dynamic business environment, we'd love to hear from you.

In this Role

  • Prepare and post month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and financial adjustments.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial integrity across assigned areas.
  • Lead people-cost reporting, analysis, forecasting and budgeting activities.
  • Provide insights on cost performance, risks and opportunities to key stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reporting quality.
  • Contribute to finance transformation and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Develop strong partnerships across the business to support strategic decision-making.

What we are looking for

We're looking for a proactive and analytical finance professional who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

You'll bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in financial accounting, external audit or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial controls and reconciliations.
  • Experience working within a large, complex or multi-entity environment.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvement and enhance finance operations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience preparing technical accounting papers or position memos.
  • Exposure to ERP systems such as AX, TM1 or similar.
