We're on the lookout for a full-time Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) who's as committed to keeping things running smoothly as we are to creating iconic flavour (yes, including our famous strawberry jam).  As part of our Maintenance team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety and efficiency of our plant, equipment and infrastructure at our family farm in Hahndorf.

• You'll be a maintenance maestro, responding to breakdowns across production machinery, plant and equipment with speed and precision, because downtime isn't our flavour.
• You'll be our production superhero on speed dial, troubleshooting mechanical faults and supporting production to minimise disruptions and maximise efficiency.
• You'll keep our machinery running at its best, carrying out preventative maintenance, repairs and servicing across a diverse range of mechanical equipment.
• You'll be our safety trailblazer, conducting risk assessments, mastering lock out/tag out procedures and helping ensure our equipment and work practices remain safe and compliant.
• You'll be our hands-on builder and fixer, tackling repairs, fabrication, welding, plant upgrades, equipment installations and shutdown projects.
• You'll be our quality guardian, supporting QA and HACCP requirements, maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring equipment performs to the highest standards.
• You'll be our continuous improvement champion, identifying ways to improve reliability, efficiency and maintenance practices while helping keep production moving.

Now, for your own ingredients list. You’ll be the right person for this role if you:

• Hold a Mechanical Trade qualification (Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Fitter or similar).
•  Are looking for work-life balance with a twist? Enjoy full-time hours across four days, with a rotating Monday/Friday RDO and a mix of early, afternoon and late shifts to keep production rolling.
• Have hands-on maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment (food production experience highly regarded).
• Have strong fault-finding and breakdown maintenance skills across mechanical plant and equipment.
•  Are confident working with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics and other production machinery.
• Have welding and fabrication skills, or experience carrying out plant modifications and equipment improvements.
• Are familiar with CMMS and preventative maintenance systems.
• Understand HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements and always prioritise safe work practices.
• Are practical, solutions-focused and remain calm under pressure when production equipment needs attention.
• Are a collaborative self-starter who communicates well and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
• Love all things food, flavour and Beerenberg goodness.
