Your New CompanyThis organisation has a focus on conducting accurate, evidence-based investigations and inspections. This organisation ensures that all guidelines within this tightly regulated environment are upheld.
Your New RoleWith a strong focus on investigations, this role will be focused on conducting the entire life cycle of an investigation based on the relevant legislation and regulations. With travel requirements, this role will be required to travel to conduct on-site investigations to ensure that regulations and all compliance requirements are being met.There are multiple levels available for this role, including two investigator positions and two senior investigator positions. All positions will be required to work autonomously to conduct investigations, collect evidence, work with stakeholders to collect information, writing reports, and producing other high-quality written materials.The senior investigators will also be required to work on more complex investigations and be a point of escalation for the investigations. Not having direct people management responsibilities, this position will be seen as a senior of the team and provide mentoring support to the investigators to allow them to grow within the role.
What Youll Need to SucceedThe successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Plan and conduct focused and timely investigations, in line with agreed performance measures.
  • Prepare authoritative and high-quality reports, briefs and correspondence on complex issues.
  • Exercise sound professional judgement regarding the application of legislation and the development of policy options relating to disciplinary matters.
  • Demonstrate accountability in respect of managing risk associated with disciplinary matters.
  • Communicate clearly, effectively and sensitively with stakeholders.
  • Negotiate with stakeholders utilising persuasion.
  • Effectively utilise existing systems to capture and record investigation activities and contribute to the development of the organisations business systems.
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation to contribute to the delivery of outcomes aligned with the Strategic Plan, model the Victorian public sector values and the organisation's behaviours and contribute to a positive culture and working environment both within the Professional Conduct Team and across the organisation.
  • Certificate IV in government investigations is highly regarded. However, not essential
