Based in the Perth CBD, these roles offer a highly strategic procurement focus, the opportunity to influence business performance, and a collaborative team environment with 2 days working from home each week.The successful candidates will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies, identifying value creation opportunities, managing supplier relationships, and partnering with key stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes across one of the following categories:

• Maintenance Labour & HSE
• Mining & Geology
• Stores, Spares, OEM & Hire

About the RoleAs a Category Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting operational and business objectives through strategic sourcing, category management, supplier engagement, and contract optimisation. Working closely with site and corporate stakeholders, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, mitigate supply chain risks, and deliver sustainable commercial value.Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category management strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Lead sourcing activities, tender processes, commercial negotiations, and contract execution.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, process improvement, and value creation.
• Analyse spend data, market intelligence, and supplier performance to inform strategic decisions.
• Manage supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mitigate supply chain, commercial, and operational risks across the category portfolio.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve procurement and business outcomes.

About YouThe ideal candidate will be a commercially astute procurement professional with experience managing complex spend categories in mining, resources, industrial, engineering, or heavy industry environments.You will bring:

• Proven experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement.
• Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills.
• The ability to develop and execute category strategies that deliver measurable business value.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and performance.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
