Based in the Perth CBD with excellent public transport access, this position offers exposure to a large-scale mining operation and the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will support procurement and sourcing activities across an assigned portfolio, managing supplier relationships, purchase orders, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes while delivering value to internal stakeholders.Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing and sourcing activities across assigned categories.
- Create and manage purchase orders through SAP.
- Support stakeholders with Procure-to-Pay and commercial processes.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality, pricing, and delivery requirements are met.
- Monitor delivery schedules and resolve procurement-related issues.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation.
About the CandidateThe ideal candidate will possess strong procurement and purchasing experience, ideally gained within mining, resources, industrial, or heavy industry environments.Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing.
- Strong SAP experience is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and purchase orders.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
