Key Responsibilities
- Develop, support, and maintain web-based and geospatial applications hosted on AWS.
- Build responsive, scalable, and user-friendly web applications using modern front-end technologies.
- Implement high-quality UI/UX designs and ensure technical feasibility and performance.
- Develop interactive data visualisation tools, maps, and dashboards for scientific and geospatial data.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to improve usability and application standards.
- Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies and contribute to the design, delivery, and maintenance of software solutions.
- Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, version control, and software engineering best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to systems and processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with HTML, TypeScript, React, and modern UI frameworks such as Tailwind CSS, MUI, or Semantic UI.
- Experience developing data-driven web applications, including interactive maps and data visualisations.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, web accessibility standards, SEO, and analytics.
- Experience working within Agile/SCRUM environments.
- Strong communication skills with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Next.js, Vite, and server-side development using Python or PHP.
- Knowledge of unit testing and end-to-end (E2E) testing frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern software development practices.
