Spray Painter
- Deliver high-quality paint finishes on large-scale components.
- Prepare surfaces for painting and apply primers and paints using spray-painting equipment.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure standards are met.
We're looking for a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team and deliver high-quality paint finishes on large-scale components. As a Spray Painter working in a heavy industry workshop, you will be responsible for surface preparation, priming, and spray painting of heavy equipment, parts, and components to meet high standards of durability and appearance.
What’s on offer:
- Location: Archerfield, Qld
- Roster: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm
- PayRate: $54.79 p/hr + penalities
- Type: Casual - Ongoing position
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare heavy equipment, components, and machinery surfaces for painting through sanding, masking, cleaning, and surface treatment
- Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings to Caterpillar machinery, components, and parts using spray-painting equipment
- Operate and maintain spray guns, paint booths, compressors, and associated equipment
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure painted surfaces meet company and OEM standards
- Repair paint defects, chips, scratches, and coating imperfections as required
- Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and technical documentation to determine painting requirements
- Work collaboratively with boilermakers, fitters, mechanics, and other workshop personnel to meet production schedules
What we are looking for:
- Current Open Class QLD Drivers Licence
- Certificate III
- Forklift Licence
- Oberhead Crane
