The Opportunity -

Are you ready to play a vital role in supporting one of the world's most advanced maritime patrol aircraft programs? As a Systems Administrator on the P8A Poseidon team, you'll be managing and maintaining a diverse range of complex IT systems that keep our military customer mission ready.

This role is shift-work and is located at RAAF Base Edinburgh.

As a System Administrator within BDA, you will

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and other IT/OT infrastructure components.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
• Carry out patching and system hardening.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose software and hardware issues.
• Monitor rigorous backup and disaster recovery protocols
• Document and track system configuration.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (CISCO,TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of cyber security practices.
• Familiarity with Ticket Systems
• Ability to obtain NV2
