A leading Sydney contractor is delivering a major student accommodation development in Sydney and is seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to join the project team on a full-time contract basis.
This role will be site-based and will act as the client’s representative, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, standards, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-time on-site representation of the client throughout construction
- Monitor construction quality and compliance against drawings, specifications, and standards
- Identify defects, non-conformances, and workmanship issues
- Maintain detailed site records and reporting
- Liaise with contractor, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Witness inspections and key hold points
About You:
- Proven experience as a Clerk of Works or similar client-side site quality role
- Previous involvement on large-scale projects (ideally $100M+ in value)
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and QA processes
- Ability to confidently challenge contractors where required
- Strong written reporting and communication skills
- Available for a full-time site-based contract role
