Senior/ Principal Consultant - Databricks (Brisbane)
- Design and build data platforms and pipelines primarily on Databricks.
- Lead small teams or work independently to deliver client solutions.
- Guide and mentor other consultants while engaging with clients.
We're working with an established specialist Data & AI consultancy that's growing its Brisbane team. They're looking for senior and principal-level data engineers with strong, hands-on Databricks delivery experience.
The role
You'll design and build data platforms and pipelines for clients, mostly on Databricks, taking a business problem through to a working solution. Some engagements you'll deliver on your own and on others you'll lead a small team.
The business is technology agnostic, so the work starts with the client's problem, not a platform to sell.
You'll:
- Design and build data platforms, pipelines, integration and analytics solutions on Databricks
- Work across Snowflake and Microsoft/Azure where clients need it
- Turn business requirements into clear technical solutions
- Deliver on your own or lead a small team on client work
- Guide and mentor other consultants
- Help with proposals and solution shaping
About you
- Real hands-on Databricks implementation experience. This one is essential
- Strong data engineering, including data modelling, SQL and modern ELT and integration patterns
- Consulting or client-facing delivery experience, ideally at senior or principal level
- Comfortable working independently and in front of clients
- Unity Catalog and Databricks AI experience are valuable, and data governance is a plus
