Experienced Speech Pathologist required for this role based in regional New South Wales. The role is based 4 hours from Sydney and 2 hours from Canberra. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary allied health team. There is a level 1 /2 role or a level 3 role available.
 
Minimum six month commitment required, open to longer term or permanent also.
 
This sole clinician, Rural Generalist role which supports inpatients and outpatients with acquired communication and swallowing impairments on background neurodegenerative conditions, acquired brain injury, head and neck cancer and other medical conditions. No paediatrics in the caseload.

  • Acquired communication disorders covers the range of speech, voice, language, and fluency disorders.
  • Acquired brain injury, stroke, neurological diagnosis, oncology and TBI.

Open to Level 1 or 2 & 3 clinicians.  
 
Annual salaries are:

  • Level 1 / 2 salary from $82,262 - $113,301 + superannuation
  • Level 3 from $121,568 - $125,507 + superannuation

 
Accommodation is available within walking distance to the hospital. Subsidised simple hospital accommodation (single room, shared kitchen and single sex bathroom) for $71 a week.
 
The location is a great rural town with lots of cultural, food and exercise/sport options and easy access amenities (cafes, Big W, 3 supermarkets). 2hrs from Canberra, 2hrs from Wagga, 2hrs from Orange.
