About Our Client:
Our client is a leading mining operation located at Cataby, approximately two hours from Perth. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence, they provide a professional site environment where skilled tradespeople can contribute to essential maintenance, fabrication, and infrastructure works.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced Boilermaker seeking a short-term site-based opportunity with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will work on a 7:7 DIDO roster from early September through to November, with the potential for the assignment to be extended.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for carrying out site-based fabrication, welding, maintenance, and general boilermaking duties while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety.
Your duties will include:
Site-based fabrication and general boilermaking
Fabrication and installation of pipework
Repair and maintenance of guard rails and site infrastructure
Aluminium welding and fabrication
General welding, structural fabrication, and maintenance as required
Assisting with general fitter-related tasks where required
Working safely within site procedures and maintaining a high standard of workmanship
Using and maintaining personal hand tools and basic boilermaking tools
What You Will Need:
Relevant Boilermaker trade qualification
Previous mining or site-based boilermaking experience
Experience with fabrication, welding, and maintenance
Experience with pipework fabrication and installation
Aluminium welding and fabrication experience
Ability to complete structural fabrication and general maintenance duties
Ability to assist with general fitter-related tasks when required
Ability to supply your own basic hand tools and boilermaking tools
Ability to supply your own unbranded PPE, including high-vis yellow long sleeve shirt, long pants, and steel-cap boots
Ability to pass required site medicals, including Spiro, Audio, PEM, and DAS
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Reliable and able to commit to the full 7:7 DIDO roster
Ideally located within approximately 2 hours of Perth, preferably north of the river or close to Perth CBD
What Is In It For You:
$80.00 per hour + Super (Flat Rate)
7:7 DIDO roster
Day shift only
Approximately 3-month assignment from September to November

Welding kits and specialist welding equipment supplied on site
Opportunity to work on a mine site with a strong focus on safety and quality
Consistent 12-hour day shifts
DIDO arrangement with travel on Thursday and Wednesday
