360HR Solutions is partnering with Peter Ellsmore & Associates to recruit two experienced drafting professionals to join their established Wollongong team.
Peter Ellsmore & Associates is a highly regarded engineering and drafting consultancy supporting clients across heavy industry, mining and construction. We are currently recruiting for two senior opportunities:
- Design Draftsperson
- Senior Design Draftsperson / Vault Manager
Both positions will support mechanical, structural and heavy industrial projects across plant, equipment, materials handling and ongoing operational requirements.
Design Draftsperson
This role will suit an experienced draftsperson who enjoys taking designs through to detailed, practical and buildable solutions.
You will be involved in the design and drafting of:
- Heavy industrial plant and equipment
- Conveyors, hoppers, chutes and material transfer systems
- Structural steel
- Plant layouts and modifications
- Mechanical and materials handling equipment
- Detailed drawings supporting capital and operational projects
You will work closely with engineers, clients and other drafting professionals to deliver accurate and practical design outcomes.
We are looking for strong mechanical and/or structural drafting experience, ideally within a heavy industrial environment, together with experience using Inventor and AutoCAD.
Experience with Autodesk Vault, Australian Standards, steel production, mining or materials handling projects will be highly regarded.
Senior Design Draftsperson / Vault Manager
This opportunity combines senior drafting expertise with responsibility for supporting and managing Autodesk Vault systems and drafting processes.
The role will include:
- Managing and maintaining Autodesk Vault
- Supporting drawing, revision and document control
- Developing and improving drafting standards, templates and workflows
- Supporting the effective use of drafting systems across the team
- Maintaining consistency and quality across engineering documentation
- Providing technical guidance and support to other drafting team members
- Performing Senior Design Draftsperson duties as a significant part of the role
Strong practical Vault experience will be important, along with solid Inventor and AutoCAD capability and a good understanding of engineering drawing and document management workflows.
About You
- Drafting and design experience
- Mechanical and/or structural drafting capability
- Strong Inventor and AutoCAD skills
- Experience within heavy industry, mining, manufacturing or a similar environment
- Knowledge of engineering drawing standards and processes
- Relevant technical or drafting qualifications
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work collaboratively with engineers, clients and other drafting professionals
Degree-qualified engineers with strong practical design and drafting experience are also encouraged to apply.
Candidates with experience using alternative 2D or 3D drafting software may also be considered, with software training available where appropriate.
