Were partnering with a global leader in intralogistics and retail automation to recruit an Electrical Supervisor for a landmark grocery automation project. This is a rare opportunity to lead from installation through to live operations on one of the most advanced automated DC builds in Australia.
Youll take ownership during the installation and commissioning phase, leading teams on-site and driving delivery of complex automated systems as the facility is built and brought to life.
With the site scheduled to go live in August 2027, youll transition into a key leadership role, overseeing electrical maintenance and team performance across a 24/7 high-volume automated distribution centre.
Your new role
Installation & Commissioning Phase
- Lead and supervise electrical teams during installation, testing, and commissioning
- Coordinate subcontractors, electricians, and technicians on-site
- Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, timelines, and quality standards
- Work closely with engineers and project managers on system validation and commissioning
- Oversee fault-finding, diagnostics, and issue resolution during build and ramp-up
- Drive site safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS regulations
Operational Phase (Post Go-Live)
- Lead the electrical function within a live 24/7 automated facility
- Manage and develop a team of technicians across shift operations
- Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance programs
- Drive rapid fault response and minimise downtime across PLC-controlled systems
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure ongoing compliance with safety, operational, and performance standards
What you'll need to succeed
- Trade-qualified Electrician / Electrical Technician (Licence required)
- Proven experience in a Supervisor / Leading Hand role
- Strong background in automation, FMCG, warehousing, or manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience with installation & commissioning of automated systems
- Strong fault-finding capability across conveyors, robotics, or material handling systems
- Experience with PLCs (Siemens preferred)
- Ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and drive project outcomes
- Comfortable working across both greenfield project delivery and live production environments
