Senior Pharmacist – Heart & Lung (0.6FTE)

This is an opportunity to join CALHN Pharmacy working in the Heart & Lung specialty. You will play an important role in achieving the best possible outcomes for patients by promoting the safe, effective and cost-conscious use of medicines. Working collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and assistants, interns, students and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, you will help balance competing service priorities while contributing to departmental objectives and broader health outcomes. This is an opportunity to use your clinical expertise, professional judgement and collaborative approach to support quality use of medicines and deliver safe, high-quality pharmacy care.

Senior Pharmacist Team Leader – Heart & Lung and Neuroscience (0.4FTE)

Join CALHN Pharmacy as Senior Pharmacist Team Leader – Heart & Lung and Neuroscience and lead a skilled team to deliver safe, high-quality and patient-centred pharmacy services. You’ll guide pharmacists, technicians, assistants and support staff, build capability through mentoring and development, and ensure medication management standards, policies and procedures are embedded in everyday practice.

Working closely with pharmacy leaders, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll shape service delivery, oversee staff performance and competence, and contribute specialist expertise across the broader pharmacy service. This is an opportunity to influence practice, strengthen quality use of medicines and lead a highly effective team focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for patients.

About You

Senior Pharmacist – Heart & Lung (0.6FTE)

You are an experienced and highly skilled pharmacist who brings strong clinical expertise, leadership capability and a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality pharmacy services. You will thrive in a complex hospital environment and be confident working both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy and registration or eligibility
  • Bring extensive experience in hospital clinical pharmacy. Experience in Heart & Lung specialties is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing demands, analyse information and deliver accurate outcomes within tight timeframes
  • Lead, supervise, and educate pharmacy assistants, pharmacy students, interns and pharmacists

Postgraduate qualifications, professional accreditation, Advanced Pharmacy Australia Resident training or accredited teaching experience will be highly regarded.

Senior Pharmacist Team Leader – Heart & Lung and Neuroscience (0.4FTE)

You are an experienced pharmacist and confident leader who combines strong clinical expertise with sound judgement, adaptability and a genuine commitment to developing people and improving pharmacy services.

In addition to the above, to be successful in this role you will:

• Bring extensive leadership experience
• Lead, supervise, educate and develop multidisciplinary teams
• Drive change, solve complex problems and improve service delivery
