About us
Pane e Pizzico is an Italian artisan bakery business in Melbourne, producing breads, pastries, pizza and other baked goods for retail and wholesale customers.
We are creating a dedicated Content Creator position to bring our products, people and baking traditions to life across our digital channels. Your work will help customers discover our bakery, learn about our products and connect with the Pane e Pizzico brand.
About the role
You will plan, create and publish original marketing content for our social media, website and digital communications. Working closely with management, bakery staff and retail teams, you will turn product information, everyday bakery activity and seasonal promotions into engaging photography, videos, graphics and written content.
This is a hands-on role involving content planning, on-site photography and filming, editing, copywriting, publishing and performance analysis. Your content will support customer engagement, store visits, product sales and wholesale enquiries.
Key responsibilities
· Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with product launches, seasonal ranges, promotional activities and business priorities.
· Photograph and film our breads, pastries, pizza and other products, capturing preparation processes, baking techniques and the customer experience.
· Create and edit short-form videos, product photographs, social media graphics and other digital assets suited to each platform and audience.
· Write engaging captions, video scripts, product descriptions, website copy and email content that reflect our brand and communicate clear product information.
· Schedule, publish and update content across the company’s social media accounts, website and other approved digital channels.
· Produce digital content introducing our wholesale product range and supply offering to prospective café, hospitality and retail customers.
· Work with bakery and retail teams to coordinate shoots and confirm product availability, promotional details and the accuracy of published information.
· Adapt content formats, messaging and calls to action for different audiences, including retail customers and prospective wholesale partners.
· Monitor reach, engagement, video views, website traffic and enquiries, and use these results to improve future content.
· Maintain an organised library of photographs, footage, design files and published materials, ensuring consistent branding and appropriate permissions for their use.
Qualifications and experience
· A bachelor’s degree in visual communication, design, digital media, marketing, communications or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
· At least one year of relevant professional experience in content creation, digital content production or a closely related role, gained through full-time employment or equivalent part-time experience.
· A portfolio demonstrating original photography, video, visual design or written content produced for a business, brand or organisation.
· Practical skills in photography, video editing and graphic design, using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, CapCut or comparable software.
· Strong written English and the ability to adapt content to different audiences and digital platforms.
· An understanding of social media publishing, content planning and basic performance analytics.
· Good organisation skills and the ability to manage deadlines while working collaboratively with operational teams.
Experience creating content for food, hospitality, retail or consumer brands would be an advantage. Applicants with relevant experience in other industries are also welcome.
What we offer
· A salary of $80,000 to $88,000 per annum plus superannuation.
· Full-time employment with an established Melbourne bakery business.
· The opportunity to develop content from initial concept through to publication.
· Direct access to our products, bakery operations and team to support original storytelling.
