The Opportunity

National Workforce is partnering with a highly respected precast concrete manufacturer based in Rutherford to source a Trade Qualified Boilermaker. This is a hands-on, fast-paced workshop role focused on the fabrication and maintenance of heavy steel moulds used for precast concrete products.

This position starts as a labour hire arrangement but offers a genuine, structured pathway to permanent employment for the right candidate who demonstrates reliability and high-quality workmanship.


Key Responsibilities

As a vital part of the fabrication team, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Fabricating, assembling, and modifying custom steel moulds to exact specifications for concrete pouring.

  • Reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Performing high-quality MIG welding, cutting, and grinding on heavy gauge steel.

  • Conducting quality checks on finished moulds to ensure they can withstand high casting pressures.

  • Maintaining a clean workspace and strictly adhering to all site health and safety protocols.


What You Need to Succeed

To hit the ground running in this workshop, you will need:

  • A relevant Australian Trade Qualification (Boilermaking, Heavy Fabrication, or similar).

  • Proven experience in heavy steel fabrication (prior experience with precast moulds is highly advantageous).

  • High proficiency in MIG welding and the ability to work independently from detailed plans.

  • A strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Reliable transport to commute to the Rutherford workshop.
