About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pastry Cook to join our team in Dulwich Hill, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods and ensuring smooth daily operations within our Pastry Team. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, consistent work standards, and a passion for the craft of baking.
Key Responsibilities (Aligned with ANZSCO Pastry Cook ******):
● Checking the cleanliness of equipment and overall operation of the kitchen before production to ensure compliance with OHS regulations
● Inspecting the quality of raw materials and accurately weighing ingredients
● Kneading, cutting, moulding, mixing, and shaping dough and pastry products
● Preparing and assembling a variety of pastry fillings
● Monitoring oven temperatures and assessing product appearance to determine correct baking times
● Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning pastry batches
● Decorating cakes with cream, ganache, and other toppings
● Operating baking machinery such as dough rollers, mixers, and biscuit cutters
● Emptying, cleaning, and greasing baking trays, tins, and related equipment
Requirements:
● Minimum 1 year of relevant baking/patisserie experience
● Strong knowledge of Pastry Cook operations and food safety standards
● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
● Excellent teamwork and communication skills
