Role Overview

A major Australian infrastructure and energy organisation is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial performance, strategic decision-making and long-term capital planning across a complex asset and project environment.

This role sits within a commercially focused finance team supporting large-scale infrastructure operations and investment programs. You will provide high-quality financial analysis, forecasting and insights to senior stakeholders, contributing directly to business performance, regulatory outcomes and capital investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver financial analysis and insights to support infrastructure and energy operations

  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and long-term financial models

  • Support capital expenditure planning and investment evaluation

  • Provide variance analysis and performance reporting to senior stakeholders

  • Assist with regulatory, business case and commercial submissions

  • Partner with operational and project teams to improve financial outcomes

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems, models and reporting

About You

  • Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline

  • CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification (or near completion)

  • Experience in financial analysis within infrastructure, energy, utilities or capital-intensive environments

  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical capability

  • Ability to translate financial data into clear commercial insights

  • Experience working with senior leaders and non-financial stakeholders

  • Detail-oriented, structured and commercially minded
