  • Manage an allocated client portfolio and build strong relationships.
  • Coordinate routing orders and monitor shipment milestones.
  • Provide proactive customer service and resolve service issues.

Pace Appointments QLD is partnering with an established international freight forwarder to recruit an experienced Customer Service Representative for their Sydney team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building client relationships, taking ownership of a portfolio and keeping international shipments moving.

Based in Banksmeadow, you’ll join a supportive team and manage a varied client portfolio, predominantly across import sea freight, with some airfreight exposure. You’ll maintain visibility of shipments from order placement through to delivery, working closely with overseas offices, agents and internal teams to keep clients informed throughout the process.

The Role

With a strong focus on origin coordination and proactive customer service, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing an allocated client portfolio and building strong, long-term relationships.
  • Coordinating routing orders and purchase orders with overseas offices and agents.
  • Following up bookings, space and loading requirements to ensure cargo moves on the appropriate sailing.
  • Monitoring shipment milestones, providing updates and resolving delays or service issues.
  • Coordinating rate requests and assisting with documentation and invoicing queries.
  • Maintaining accurate client records, dashboards and shipment reports.
  • Supporting new client onboarding and communicating customer requirements across internal teams.

Dedicated operations and transport teams handle shipment execution and final delivery arrangements, while you maintain overall visibility and support the client relationship.

About You

You’ll bring at least three years’ customer service experience, a background in international freight forwarding and a sound understanding of import sea freight processes.

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates confidently and follows issues through to resolution. Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities will be essential, along with a positive approach to working within a busy team.

  • Banksmeadow office with one day working from home each week.
  • A down-to-earth, supportive and collaborative team.
  • Ongoing training and opportunities to develop your freight forwarding career.
