Join a respected national fit-out and refurbishment contractor delivering projects for some of Australia's most recognised retail brands, hospitality and institutions.
Core Talent is partnering with a well-established commercial fit out contractor to recruit an Estimator to join their growing NSW team. With over two decades of industry experience and a strong pipeline of secured work, this business delivers high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across the retail, commercial, hospitality and education sectors nationwide.
The Opportunity
As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in the pre-construction team, preparing accurate and competitive tenders while working closely with project delivery teams to secure and set up successful projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed take-offs, BOQs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Identify scope gaps, risks and value engineering opportunities
- Produce competitive tender submissions and pricing documentation
- Work closely with Project Managers to support seamless project handovers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
About You
- Previous estimating experience within commercial construction, fit-out or refurbishment
- Strong understanding of construction methodology and trade sequencing
- Experience preparing take-offs and managing the tender process
- Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills
- Proficient with estimating software such as CostX, Cubit, Buildsoft or similar
