Tailored Fresh is a growing refrigerated and general freight transport company. We run local and linehaul services for fresh produce growers, markets and retailers across NSW, Victoria and interstate. Our Griffith operation is expanding, and we are looking for two experienced MC truck drivers to join the team full-time.
Duties
- Drive B-doubles and semi-trailers on regional and interstate runs from our Griffith depot
- Manoeuvre vehicles into position for loading and unloading
- Load and unload vehicles, including refrigerated produce, using lifting and tipping devices
- Observe safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles
- Make regular quality checks of the truck and trailers (pre-start and post-trip) to ensure they can be driven safely, and report defects
- Estimate weights to comply with load limits and ensure safe weight distribution
- Ensure goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damage
- Verify loading documents, check the condition of goods and obtain certification of deliveries
- Plan trips to meet delivery windows and fatigue rules, and keep the National Heavy Vehicle Work Diary accurate
- Keep in touch with customers and our allocators
What you need
- Current MC (Multi-Combination) licence
- At least 1 year of heavy vehicle driving experience (B-double experience preferred)
- Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) accreditation, or willingness to get it
- A good driving record and a strong safety attitude
- Able to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
What we offer
- Guaranteed minimum of $80,000 per year + superannuation
- $0.60 per km on B-double runs, so your earnings grow with the kilometres you drive
- $50 extra pickup/drop allowance and $57.80 travel/meal allowance
