A respected regional organisation is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on a part time basis. This position is offered at approximately 0.4 FTE (2 days per week), with the potential for additional hours if required.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys a broad role combining management accounting, budgeting, reporting, payroll oversight and business partnering
You will be responsible for the following duties:
- Supporting month end financial processes, analysis and reporting
- Preparing and reviewing budget forecasts and maintaining budget models
- Analysing actual expenditure against budgets and providing insights to management
- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes
- Reviewing project financial reports, journals and acquittals
- Maintaining financial data and budgets within TechnologyOne
- Providing oversight of payroll processes and reviewing fortnightly payroll runs
- Assisting with audit preparation, financial reporting improvements and system enhancements
- Supporting staff with finance related reporting, systems and process queries
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations
What you'll need to succeed
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards completion, will be highly regarded
- Previous experience in management accounting, budgeting and financial reporting
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience working with TechnologyOne or similar ERP systems
- The ability to work independently and build effective stakeholder relationships
