Lifeguard / Gym Attendant | Defence Facility | Casual Opportunity with Full-Time Hours
Location: Puckapunyal Military Area, VIC
Pay Rate: $36.38 per hour + Super
Employment Type: Casual with potential for permanent employment
Roster: Rotating roster across weekdays and weekends
About the Role
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Lifeguard / Gym Attendants to join a team supporting a major facility within the Puckapunyal Military Area.
This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about health, fitness, safety, and customer service. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patrons using both the aquatic and fitness facilities while contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.
This is a casual position offering consistent hours, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise patrons within aquatic and fitness areas to ensure a safe environment
- Respond to emergencies and administer First Aid and CPR when required
- Conduct regular pool water testing and maintain accurate records
- Perform routine safety and equipment inspections
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the facility
- Assist patrons with enquiries and provide outstanding customer service
- Monitor facility access and ensure compliance with site procedures
- Support the daily operation of the fitness centre and aquatic facilities
What We're Looking For

- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to a rotating roster
- Previous lifeguard, pool attendant, fitness centre, or customer service experience is advantageous
Essential Requirements
- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check
- Australian Citizen
- Current Police Check (within 30 days) or willingness to obtain
- Reliable transport and ability to travel to site
- Willingness to obtain any of the certificates above
Working Hours
Weekday Shifts
- 5:45am - 12:30pm
- 5:45am - 2:15pm
- 12:30pm - 9:00pm
- 2:15pm - 9:00pm
Weekend Shifts
- Saturday: Approximately 7:45am - 5:00pm
- Sunday: Approximately 9:45am - 7:00pm
