About The Role:
Unidex Healthcare are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to support an 20-year-old female participant based in Stratheden, NSW. The participant has sustained a spinal cord injury resulting in reduced lower limb mobility and some upper limb limitations. She is a vibrant, energetic, and spiritual young woman, and this role would suit someone who can provide compassionate, person-centred support while fostering independence and positive engagement in daily life.
Shift Details:
Monday - Sunday
- 10:00AM - 15:00PM (5)
- 18:00PM - 22:00PM (4)
Pay Rates:
- Day - $40.00 per hour
- Afternoon - $44.00 per hour
- Saturday - $56.00 per hour
- Sunday - $72.00 per hour
Staff are paid a mileage incentive of $0.73c per km (minus the first 10km) when travelling to and from shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support with personal care and daily living activities, including supervision and prompting
- Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
- Medication prompting
- Assistance with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Support with community access and rehab appointments
Skills & Experiences:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or relevant
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Police Check - within the last 12 months
- NDIS - Worker Orientation Module or willing to complete
- NDIS - Supporting Effective Communication Module or willing to complete
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Full Australian working rights
- Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Positive attitude, reliable, and flexible
