We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join an internationally recognised engineering company based in Eagle Farm.
Our client specialises in rotating equipment, servicing and supporting critical machinery across industries including rail, mining and heavy industry.
Working as part of an experienced workshop team, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of rotating mechanical equipment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Inspection, maintenance and overhaul of rotating equipment.
- Mechanical fitting, assembly and disassembly of industrial machinery.
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs.
- Working with bearings, shafts, gearboxes and associated mechanical components.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Ensuring all work is completed to quality and safety standards.
To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent.
- Previous experience working as a qualified Mechanical Fitter.
- Experience with rotating equipment, mechanical overhauls or industrial machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to quality workmanship.
Highly regarded experience includes:
- Rail and rolling stock.
- Mining and heavy industry.
- Draglines and large-scale mining equipment.
- Rotating equipment, pumps, motors and gearboxes.
- Industrial maintenance and mechanical overhauls.
