Based at their facility in Adelaide, this exciting job sits within the Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) and Chemical Analysis Division (CAD).
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to act as the site’s technical quality anchor. This is a pivotal role, offering an ambitious Candidate the opportunity to drive product and process excellence and build a meaningful career in South Australia.
This role is an ongoing full-time casual opportunity, with the successful incumbent potentially moving into a permanent role.

The Role
- Lead product and process quality activities across the lifecycle, including New Product Introduction (NPI), process validation, and First Article Inspection (FAI).
- Support the deployment and continuous improvement of the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Perform and maintain product and process risk analyses (FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA) and provide technical input for non-conformances, CAPAs, audits, and customer complaints.
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to investigate and resolve quality issues, warranty claims, and Out of Box Failures (OOBF).
- Develop and maintain critical quality documentation, including control plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Certificates of Compliance.
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, R&D, and Field Service to strengthen process controls and drive continuous improvement.
About You
To excel in this employment opportunity, you will bring a disciplined technical background and a commitment to quality outcomes:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years of quality engineering experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams to resolve product and process quality issues.
- Familiarity with structured problem-solving tools (such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Lean tools) and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
