Aquarobics Instructor - Casual Pool
$38.69 per hour | Casual | Murwillumbah & Surrounding Areas
Spinifex Recruiting is currently seeking qualified and enthusiastic Aquarobics Instructors to join our casual pool and support upcoming classes across the Tweed region.
We currently have Aquarobics classes requiring instructors throughout October and November, and maybe into next year, predominantly based in Murwillumbah. While there are no permanent shifts available at this stage, this is a great opportunity to pick up casual work and potentially be considered for future classes as they become available.
The Role
As an Aquarobics Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering safe, engaging and enjoyable aquatic fitness classes to participants of varying ages and abilities.
You will be required to:
- Plan and deliver engaging Aquarobics classes
- Create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for participants
- Provide instruction and modifications to suit different fitness and ability levels
- Ensure classes are delivered in accordance with relevant safety requirements
- Maintain a professional and positive approach with participants
About You
We are looking for instructors who are:
- Qualified in Aqua Exercise/Aquarobics instruction through a recognised training provider
- Experienced or confident in delivering group aquatic fitness classes
- Confident and enthusiastic when leading a group
- Friendly, approachable and community-minded
- Reliable and available to cover casual classes throughout October and November
- Committed to providing a safe and positive experience for participants
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A current recognised Aqua Exercise/Aquarobics Instructor qualification, such as SISSS00135 Aqua Exercise Instructor, or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Current First Aid certification - HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- Relevant aquatic/water rescue qualification, where required
- Any other relevant clearances or requirements applicable to working within an aquatic facility
Please note: A general swimming teacher qualification alone is not sufficient for this position. Applicants must hold an appropriate qualification to deliver Aqua Exercise/Aquarobics classes.
