Your New Role
Reporting to the Youth Homelessness Coordinator, you will be one of our many valuable Support Workers delivers direct support to young people identified through after-school programs and community engagement activities. The role focuses on building trusted relationships, identifying risks and support needs, providing case management, and connecting young people with appropriate services to prevent or address homelessness. You will work collaboratively with schools, families, and community agencies to improve outcomes for vulnerable young people while facilitating a safe and supportive service environment for children and young people. About You
- Hold (or able to obtain before commencement) a QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and consent to a National Police Check
- Minimum Certificate IV in youth work, community development/welfare, human services or related discipline, or equivalent to (desirable)
- Relevant experience in social and community sector (desirable)
- Current open driver’s license, eligible to obtain an RDA if required
- Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain
