Due to continued business growth, BildGroup is seeking a Safety Operations Manager to own and shape HSE across two of our key divisions.
You will lead safety, quality and compliance across our Bitu-mill division, specialising in asphalt and profiling works, and our Greenfields division, covering urban development, landscaping and sports fields. Based in Campbellfield with regular interstate travel required, you will work closely with operations and delivery teams to embed a strong, practical safety culture across both business units.
This is a hands-on leadership role suitable for a proactive and driven individual, ready to make a genuine impact from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HSE systems, policies and procedures across both divisions, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and BildGroup standards
• Partner with business units to provide hands-on guidance and coaching, building safety capability at every level
• Lead site audits, inspections and risk assessments across Campbellfield and interstate locations, driving corrective actions through to close-out
• Manage end-to-end incident response including investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions and cross-business learnings
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor safety performance on BildGroup sites, managing non-conformances and keeping Supply chain safety standards where they need to be
• Champion continuous improvement across safety, quality and compliance, keeping both divisions ahead of regulatory change and industry best practice

• Previous experience in an HSE management or senior leadership role, ideally within civil construction, road maintenance or infrastructure
• A qualification in Work Health and Safety and Training and Assessment (Cert IV, Diploma or equivalent)
• Sound working knowledge of OHS legislation, Construction Industry Codes of Practice and ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with a track record of driving results
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage site crews, project managers, and divisional leaders
