Civil Construction Traineeship

Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships, together with DLS Group Civils, is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to kick-start their career as a Civil Construction Trainee in Rowville, Victoria.

This 36-month paid traineeship is a great opportunity to gain practical experience in the civil construction industry while working towards a Certificate III in Civil Construction.

You'll spend your time working alongside skilled industry professionals, gaining hands-on experience across real civil construction projects while building the knowledge and skills needed for a long-term career in the industry.

You don't need years of construction experience - we're looking for someone who is hardworking, dependable and eager to learn.

What Will You Be Doing?

Throughout your traineeship, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in areas such as:

• Supporting civil construction and infrastructure projects
• Using a range of hand and power tools
• Assisting with the use of construction machinery and equipment
• Taking measurements and completing basic calculations
• Understanding plans, drawings and job specifications
• Setting up and maintaining safe work areas
• Following workplace health and safety requirements
• Working as part of an experienced civil construction team

The Role

• Full-time 36-month traineeship
• Based in Rowville, with work across surrounding project locations
• Outdoor, hands-on and physically active work
• Exposure to different areas of civil construction
• Work alongside a supportive and experienced team
• Combination of practical workplace training and formal study

What Are We Looking For?

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a current driver's licence and reliable transport
• Is interested in pursuing a career in civil construction
• Is committed to completing a Certificate III in Civil Construction
• Is reliable, punctual and willing to work hard
• Takes direction and is keen to learn new skills
• Is comfortable working outdoors and performing physical tasks
• Understands the importance of working safely

Construction or labouring experience is advantageous but not required. Most importantly, you'll have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
