Product Management and PLM Enablement Lead

A growing business, this ISO accredited company manufactures and supplies a wide range of high-quality engineered industrial products to a variety of industries for use in the industrial, infrastructure and domestic markets. With an ever-expanding footprint, to support the company’s growth, they are in the market to appoint an experienced Product Management and PLM Lead.
The Role
As the subject matter expert in product management, the role exists to build the capability of the Product Managers across the full Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process, from opportunity assessment and discovery, through product launch, into performance management, improvement and, ultimately, retirement. Key Responsibilities include:
Capability Development
- Design and deliver a structured Product Management curriculum across the full PLM lifecycle
- Facilitate workshops, coaching, onboarding, and refresher training
- Develop practical learning resources, templates, and product-based case studies
Product Management Coaching
- Mentor Product Managers through discovery, business cases, roadmaps, and product launches
- Provide coaching, peer reviews, and constructive feedback to strengthen capability
- Support Product Managers through key lifecycle gates as a trusted advisor
PLM Tools & Standards
- Develop and maintain PLM playbooks, templates, checklists, and business case frameworks
- Establish consistent product management standards, governance processes, and quality benchmarks
- Maintain a central library of PLM resources and best practices
Continuous Improvement
- Lead the Product Management Community of Practice to encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration
- Capture lessons learned and incorporate improvements into PLM frameworks and tools
- Benchmark industry best practices to continuously enhance Product Management capability and processes
The Person
You will have extensive product management experience across the full product lifecycle, in addition to expertise in launching and managing products, developing product management capability through coaching and mentoring, and creating practical PLM frameworks, tools, and standards.
With a tertiary qualification in business, engineering, marketing, or a related discipline. An MBA and recognised product management certification are desirable. You will also have strong commercial acumen and knowledge of product strategy, market analysis, business cases, and go-to-market planning.
