WHS Coordinator

• $85k + super
• Full-time permanent position
• Monday to Saturday rotational rosters with mix of day and night shift
• Hours range from 4.30am starts to 2.30am finishes (8 hour day)

Due to growth and internal movement, we have a very exciting opportunity for a WHS Coordinator to join their team. Reporting to the Group Safety Manager, within this role you'll be responsible to ensure that the workforce is provided with a supportive, safe, and purposeful place of work, maintaining wellbeing and organisational compliance with legislation.
 
 
The role:  
  

• Assist in the operational implementation of WHS Policies, Procedures and practices
• Conduct daily monitoring checks, on-site audits, inspections, risk management activities and annual reviews as required
• Assist with facilitating Inductions and ensure new worker understanding of key risks and requirements
• Participate in WHS projects
• Participate in or lead risk assessments
• Participate in Safety Committee
• Participate in internal and external audits
• Advise and support operational teams across WHS matters including legislative compliance, consultation, risk management, incident management and corrective actions
• Assist with monthly reporting on WHS compliance
• Ensure accurate and appropriate record keeping and management
• Assist with delivery WHS training

 
What we’re looking for:  
 

• WHS Certificate 3 or 4 favourable but not essential OR experience working in a similar role
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a WHS focused role
• Working knowledge of WHS legislation.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products and relevant industry software and programs.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with employees, departments, and management.
• A team player and ability to work autonomously 
• Strong work ethic
• Reliable and punctual
