Our client is a family-owned civil and commercial construction company based in Toowoomba, delivering infrastructure that enriches communities. Due to a strong and growing pipeline of work, our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join their team and lead the successful delivery of a diverse range of commercial construction projects across Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project from design development through to construction and handover
- Manage all commercial aspects including budgets, forecasting, procurement and cost control
- Oversee head contract compliance and subcontract management
- Coordinate design teams to ensure buildability and program alignment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders
- Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers and site staff
- Monitor project progress, manage risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure all works meet safety, quality and regulatory requirements
The Successful Applicant
About You
- 3 - 5+ years commercial experience within AU/NZ delivering commercial construction projects, ideally within a Design & Construct environment
- Strong commercial and contractual acumen
- Demonstrated ability managing budgets, programs and subcontractors
- Experience managing relationships across clients, consultants and site teams
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive accountability and culture on-site
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
