About the role
This is a permanent full time position. Located in Broken Hill with some outreach work.
 
The Service Manager, MMHC Far West provides day-to-day leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring efficient, effective, safe and high-quality management and clinical service delivery. Working closely with the Clinical Lead, broader team and external stakeholders, the role supports person-centred, recovery-focused, evidence-based and innovative clinical and psychosocial services that achieve strong outcomes for consumers.
 
The service will operate seven days a week and candidates should be flexible and available to work on a rostered basis, including on weekends and outside of normal business hours, as needed.

Duties

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering the Far West Medicare Mental Health Centre.
  • Drive safe, high-quality, person-centred and recovery-focused service delivery.
  • Build strong partnerships and pathways that improve access for the local community.

Skills & Experience

  1. Qualifications as an allied mental health professional and current registration with the relevant credentialling body, or relevant skills, qualifications and experience in mental health services and health services management.
  2. Previous experience in health, mental health or community service management roles, including budget, reporting, compliance and service performance responsibilities.
  3. Demonstrated leadership experience of a multidisciplinary team, including planning, performance monitoring, role clarity, accountability, collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
