JobScout Pty Ltd are working to assist our client, Just Cuts Midland (Aasta Pty Ltd), an established hair salon operating under the well-known Just Cuts brand. Just Cuts Midland provides professional hair cutting, styling and treatment services to a loyal and growing local client base, supported by a friendly and dedicated team of hairdressers and salon staff.

As the salon continues to grow its client base and service offering, our client is now seeking an experienced Hairdresser to join the team at Just Cuts Midland on a full-time, ongoing basis (38 hours per week). The role is based on-site at the salon in Midland, reports directly to the Business Owner, and includes providing leadership and guidance to the salon team.

Responsibilities of our Hairdresser will include:

• Consult with clients to understand their hair care needs, preferences and concerns, and recommend suitable cuts, styles and treatments.
• Provide clients with accurate quotes prior to commencing any service or treatment.
• Perform hair cutting, styling and treatment services to a high standard in line with client requests and current trends.
• Recommend hair care products and treatments to clients based on their hair type and concerns and advise on ongoing hair care and maintenance.
• Upsell salon services and retail products to clients to support salon revenue.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent customer service, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the salon.
• Handle client enquiries, bookings and payments efficiently and accurately.
• Update and maintain client information, records and service history.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, tools and salon equipment.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations and salon hygiene procedures.
• Provide leadership, guidance and on-the-job training to other hairstylists, hairdressers and assistants as required.
• Keep up to date with current hair trends, techniques and products, and participate in ongoing training and professional development.

To be successfully considered for the role, you:

• Hold an AQF Certificate III in Hairdressing (including at least two years of on-the-job training), or an AQF Certificate IV or higher qualification in Hairdressing.
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ commercial experience working as a Hairdresser post qualification.
• Are highly skilled in a wide range of hair cutting, colouring, styling and treatment techniques.
• Have sound knowledge of hair care products and treatments.
• Possess excellent communication and customer service skills with a personable, professional approach.
• Have strong attention to detail and creativity.
• Are able to work efficiently in a fast-paced salon environment.
• Are self-confident, adaptable and a team player who can support and guide other team members.
• Have flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
