Mechanical Fitter | Darwin | NT

CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Darwin, NT.

This role involves mechanical maintenance, servicing, fault-finding and repairs across marine vessels, depot equipment and terminal plant. The successful candidate will carry out preventative maintenance to ensure equipment and machinery remain safe, reliable and operational.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain and repair marine engines, pumps, valves, winches and propulsion systems.
• Carry out mechanical maintenance on linehaul vessels, landing craft and tugs.
• Maintain depot and terminal equipment, including cranes, terminal tractors and heavy forklift fleets.
• Perform preventative maintenance, routine inspections and scheduled servicing.
• Complete component replacements and assist with fault-finding and breakdown repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all WHS policies and procedures.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Relevant mechanical trade qualifications and trade papers.
• Current Forklift Licence (LF).
• Previous experience in mechanical fitting, maintenance or repairs.
• Experience with marine vessels, heavy equipment or fixed plant highly regarded.
• Strong fault-finding and preventative maintenance skills.
• Reliable, safety-focused and able to work independently and as part of a team.

What We Can Offer:

• Highly competitive pay rates | $70–$80 per hour flat rate, depending on experience.
• Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, with occasional Saturdays.
• Ongoing full-time hours.
• Potential temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
