IT Solutions Architect

Long-term contract with extensions | Must have NV1 | $150 inc super per hour

This Federal Government department delivers major programs and services across Australia and internationally. An opportunity is available for an experienced Technical Architect to support a complex application environment undergoing ongoing modernisation and integration work.
Your new roleWorking across several business-critical applications, you will provide technical and solution architecture support across both existing and modernised environments. The role has a strong focus on understanding how systems interact, documenting architecture, designing interfaces and working closely with development, business and delivery teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing technical and solution architecture designs
• Producing system, interface and architecture diagrams
• Mapping business processes and technical workflows
• Designing integrations between enterprise applications
• Supporting application modernisation and migration activities
• Producing detailed solution and technical documentation
• Working across legacy and contemporary .NET environments
• Supporting integrations with SAP-based enterprise systems
• Working with developers, project teams and business stakeholders to resolve technical issues
• Providing architecture guidance throughout delivery

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect or similar
• Strong application and solution architecture experience
• Experience designing complex system integrations and interfaces
• Strong experience producing architecture documentation and technical artefacts
• Experience with Microsoft .NET environments
• Exposure to SAP integrations or similar large enterprise platforms
• Understanding of APIs, integration patterns and application modernisation
• Experience with process modelling and system/interface diagramming
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar systems and work across multiple streams of work
• Previous Federal Government experience will be highly regarded
• Experience with modern .NET, Docker or containerised environments would also be beneficial.
