- Lead apartment stages of the Gasworks urban renewal project from feasibility and design through approvals, construction, settlement and completion.

Bluestone Recruitment is partnering with MAB to appoint a Senior Development Manager to work on the Brompton Gasworks project in Adelaide.
MAB is an established private property developer with over 30 years of experience, having completed more than $6 billion of developments across Victoria and South Australia. Their diverse portfolio spans residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments.
Located in the thriving Bowden precinct, The Gasworks development is set to deliver a masterplanned village with townhouses, apartments, hotel, commercial hub and a commitment to provide in excess of 15% affordable housing.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in a complex urban renewal project, taking responsibility for apartment stages from initial feasibility and design through to construction, settlement and completion.
The Role – Senior Development Manager
Reporting to the Development Director and based in MAB’s Adelaide office, you will drive the commercial performance and delivery of allocated apartment stages. Working closely with internal development, project management, finance, sales and marketing teams, with a focus on design quality, project returns and delivery outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project feasibilities, budgets, cash flow, forecasting and development programmes.
- Leading consultant teams through design development, planning and statutory approvals.
- Shaping product mix, pricing, staging and sales and marketing strategies.
- Working with the Project Manager across procurement, construction, handover and completion.
- Managing relationships across government, authorities, consultants and contractors.
- Identifying opportunities to improve project returns and manage development risk.
About You
You will bring proven apartment development experience, strong commercial judgement and the ability to drive outcomes across complex projects.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Approximately 7–10 years of development experience,in higher-density apartments.
- A thorough understanding of the full development lifecycle, with strong design, approvals and delivery capability.
- Experience managing complex feasibilities, project forecasts and cash flow, using Estate Master or similar software.
- Strong consultant leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
