An outstanding opportunity awaits you! Our client, located in Newman, WA is looking for a full-time Boilermaker /Metal Fabricators / Welder/ Welder (First class).
About the Role:
Our client is specialising in the mining industry is looking to employ a Boilermaker /Metal Fabricators / Welder/ Welder (First class) to repair and fabricate various products (including QT steels in particular hardox 450 and hard facing wear items). You are required to weld various thicknesses of metals.
You must complete welds to a high standard structurally and aesthetically. Additionally,
fabricate basic metal products as necessary within the mining, milling, processing and civil applications when damaged.
About you:
We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker /Metal Fabricators / Welder/ Welder (First
class) with a strong work ethic who takes pride in their work and can work alongside an
established team.
To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:
Qualified as a Boilermaker /Metal Fabricators / Welder/ Welder(First class) through an
apprenticeship or equivalent.
Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements
Select, clean, and prepare metal stock
Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and
metal cutting machines
Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting
Examine welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision
Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing, and bathing in acidic solutions
Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiselling, and grinding
Able to work efficiently on your own or within a team environment
