CTF Engineering is a Western Australian engineering company providing industrial tank maintenance, repair and engineering services to the mining and oil and gas sectors.
The company is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter (Fitter General – ANZSCO 323211) for a permanent full-time position in Kelmscott, WA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, assembling, installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and components used in industrial operations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards and workplace safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, plans and technical specifications.
- Measuring, marking and preparing mechanical components for fitting and assembly.
- Fitting, assembling and installing mechanical equipment, machinery and components.
- Dismantling machinery and equipment to inspect, identify and repair mechanical faults.
- Repairing or replacing worn and defective mechanical parts.
- Installing, aligning and adjusting pumps, valves, fittings and mechanical assemblies.
- Checking clearances, tolerances and alignment using precision measuring instruments.
- Testing and adjusting mechanical equipment to ensure correct and safe operation.
- Performing routine and corrective maintenance on industrial mechanical equipment.
- Maintaining tools and equipment and following workplace health and safety procedures.
About You
- Relevant trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Fitter (General).
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in using mechanical fitting tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
