Finance Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team based at Perth Airport. Operating within the aviation industry, this well-established organisation provides FIFO and charter flight services across Australia, supporting the mining, oil and gas sectors.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified finance professional to oversee financial reporting, compliance and daily finance operations. You'll work closely with senior management, lead the finance team and provide financial support across different areas of the business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing month-end reporting, financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
• Overseeing tax compliance, including GST, FBT, income tax and payroll tax
• Managing external audits and ensuring financial reporting requirements are met
• Overseeing regulatory reporting, including ABS and environmental reporting
• Managing fixed assets, aircraft leases and depreciation in line with accounting standards
• Monitoring cash flow, banking facilities and foreign exchange exposure
• Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll reporting
• Preparing financial models for tenders, contract renewals and pricing
• Providing financial analysis, budgeting support and management reporting
• Leading, mentoring and supporting the finance team

What you’ll need:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
• Previous experience in a senior finance role
• Experience in an asset-intensive or contract-based business
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation and compliance
• Experience managing month-end processes, audits and balance sheet reconciliations
• Good understanding of cash flow, fixed assets and lease accounting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work closely with senior stakeholders
