Microbiology Laboratory Technician –

About the company:
The company is a well-known food manufacturing company based in Melbourne. They are seeking a laboratory technician to join the team on an ongoing basis.
The shifts are Monday to Friday normal working hours,

About the role:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, your main responsibilities may include:

  • Basic wet chemistry analysis (titrations, pH)
  • Microbiological analysis of food products
  • Data entry and result compilation
  • Laboratory housekeeping

About you:

  • Bachelor of Science, majoring in Microbiology or related discipline
  • MUST have experience within the food or pharmaceuticals  industry
  • Knowledge of chemical and microbiological analysis tests performed on food (highly regarded)
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Methodical, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
