Clinical Nurse Manager (Operating Theatres)
Brisbane
Salary in the region of $150k base + Super + Salary Packaging.
Lead one of Queensland's largest private theatre operations.
19 theatres, expanding to 21 in January 2027. A robotics-heavy surgical service and Australia's first accredited Robotic Surgery Centre of Excellence.
This is a genuine management role. You will lead the department rather than remain the clinical expert, supported by ACNMs and floor coordinators across scrub/scout, anaesthesia, PACU and support services.
What you'll be leading
- A theatre workforce of around 400 people across scrub/scout, anaesthesia, PACU and support
- An 8-project strategic improvement plan already underway
- A major rostering overhaul and the opening of two additional theatres in early 2027
What you'll need
- A scrub/scout clinical background, essential
- Substantial perioperative leadership experience
- Confidence with budgets, KPIs, process and people leadership
- Strong computer literacy, including basic Excel
- AHPRA Registration
- Eligibility to work in Australia - Visa sponsorship may be considered for exceptional candidates.
What's on offer
- Base salary $152,440 plus superannuation
- Not-for-profit salary packaging of up to $15,900 for living expenses plus $2,650 for meals and entertainment, subject to provider rules
- A visible pathway for progression, with the previous CNM promoted to ADON Perioperative
- The opportunity to lead a large, complex perioperative operation through significant growth and change
