Job Description

At Munro Footwear Group (MFG) we are looking for a commercially minded Junior Merchandise Planner to take ownership of planning for The Trybe.

Working within our Merchandise team, you'll be responsible for helping drive the commercial performance of The Trybe. You'll use data to understand what's working, identify opportunities and ensure we have the right product, in the right quantities, in the right stores.

This is a fantastic opportunity to own the planning function for The Trybe while continuing to develop your merchandise planning career within MFG.

The role

  • Analysing and forecasting sales, profit, purchases and stock
  • Supporting seasonal merchandise and assortment plans
  • Monitoring sales trends and identifying opportunities to maximise performance
  • Managing stock levels and recommending actions at product and category level
  • Providing in-season sales, product and inventory analysis
  • Conducting post-season reviews and using insights to inform future buys
  • Completing size and category analysis to determine appropriate buy quantities
  • Supporting markdown, sell-through and aged stock management
  • Working closely with Buying and other key teams to turn data into commercial decisions

About you

You'll be someone who is naturally curious, enjoys getting into the detail, and can turn numbers and insights into meaningful, actionable recommendations.

  • 2+ years' experience in data analysis or Planning within a retail environment
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organisation and the ability to manage changing priorities
  • Commercial curiosity and a willingness to challenge and ask questions
  • Great communication skills and a collaborative, team-first approach
