APS5 Compliance Officer

Job Title: APS5 Compliance Officer | Financial Disclosure
Support regulatory compliance activities in a major Australian Government environment, reviewing financial disclosure returns and election funding claims while contributing to accurate, defensible regulatory outcomes.

Location: Canberra, ACT or Melbourne, VIC
Security Clearance Requirement: Baseline
Closing Date: 10.00am, 15 October 2026

Essential Tasks:

• Review financial disclosure returns for accuracy, completeness and legislative compliance.
• Assess election funding claims and undertake related compliance reviews and enquiries.
• Support the processing and payment of election funding in line with legislation and procedures.
• Analyse moderately complex information and provide accurate, well-reasoned advice.

Key Criteria:

• Experience supporting compliance work, financial audits, quality checks or similar processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and interpret complex information.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across internal and external stakeholders.
• Qualifications or relevant experience in accounting, commerce, finance or a related field are highly desirable.
