We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant Intern to join a community pharmacy in Oak Park, Melbourne.
This opportunity is ideal for Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, Healthcare or related students and recent graduates looking to gain hands-on Australian pharmacy experience in customer service, pharmacy operations, stock management and healthcare administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations and administrative tasks
- Support customer service and general product enquiries
- Assist with stock management, inventory checks and product displays
- Help receive, organise and replenish pharmaceutical and healthcare products
- Support pharmacy staff with general workflow coordination
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organised and professional pharmacy environment
- Gain exposure to pharmacy procedures, confidentiality and workplace safety requirements
All activities will be performed under appropriate supervision and within the intern's permitted scope. Prescription dispensing and clinical advice remain the responsibility of authorised pharmacy professionals.
Skills & Requirements
- Currently studying or recently completed Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, Healthcare or a related qualification
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Basic computer and administrative skills
- Professional attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Interest in community pharmacy and healthcare services
Previous pharmacy or retail experience is advantageous but not essential.
