Data Manager – capital modelling (contract)
KEY POINTS WE FOUND
- Assist the capital modelling team on a short-term contract.
- Review and improve data input and output flows across the economic capital model.
- Design and implement a new tool for automating model parameterisation.
Our general insurance client is seeking a data manager on a contractual basis to assist their capital modelling team for a short-term three month contract.
About the role
- Review existing data input inflows across the economic capital model (ECM) and identify priorities for potential improvement and standardisation.
- Review existing data reporting outflows across the ECM and identify priorities for potential improvement and standardisation.
- Review how input and output data flows are affected by the new Igloo v6, and design and implement necessary changes and agreed improvements from the above reviews.
- Design and implement a new tool to automate Igloo model parameterisation.
About you
- Experience working in capital modelling in general insurance.
- Experience with managing databases, especially relating to managing data flows and taking Excel-based unstructured data into a more structured format required for modelling software.
- Experience with creating dashboards and PowerBI reporting.
- Familiarity with general insurance actuarial data would be an advantage.
